Cheesy Puns

Yesterday, I won tickets to the Cheese Festival for being really cheesy on Twitter. I posted the fB status below, and a string of cheese-inspired jokes followed. While this is nowhere near the level of the professional punsters in one of my previous posts, it's darn near close.

Then it started.

And:

Totally taking my mom.

Social Media Statistics in South Africa

Here's an update on social media statistics in South Africa. This clip covers all of the big boys: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, Mxit and more. I for one would've liked to have seen some stats for Pinterest; maybe next time.

Thank you Ch0pp3r and Brandslut for sharing this.

A Clever Use For The New Facebook Timeline

I found this on TNW yesterday and thought I'd share it. I'm sure you've all had the new Facebook Timeline rolled out to your account by now, (if you haven't, visit someone who has and click on the Get Timeline link near the top of their profile) and are painstakingly scouring the last few years of your online life in between bouts of head-shaking and face-palming. That's perfectly normal. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the video below:

Anyway, an Israeli agency (McCann Digital) recently found a clever use for the Facebook Timeline. Check out their campaign for the Israel Anti-Drug Authority.

Check out the fictional Adam Barak's entire Facebook Timeline. Happy Friday; don't do drugs.

Dear Human...

Every once in a blue moon I find (amidst the quagmire of self-promotion and spelling tHaT lOoKs LiKe ThIs) something awesome on Facebook. The following image is one of those. Click on the picture to make it beeger.

 Have a sweet humpday!

Social Matters [Social Media]

The world is going social media crazy; no matter who you are, where you live or what you do, it is highly unlikely that your life hasn't been in direct contact with some or other form of social media. The purpose of this post is to give a nice round summary of the various IM's, social networks and social apps that I use. Whether this will benefit you or not is still to be seen.

1. Facebook (obviously)

Facebook: the all-consuming internet eater. Hailed as the death of workplace productivity and the birthplace of daylight stalking. Say what you want about it: I think Facebook's here to stay. Click on the FB logo to be redirected to my profile if we're not already friends.
